Heartsong
Triple D Farm A very important farm of the new millennium is the Homestead. It captures some of the pioneers' self-sufficient spirit but with a special twist. It is small acreage (three to ? acres depending on what part of the country you are in) shared by one family unit or several who have pooled their resources to make their dreams come true. The individual concept can be as diversified as any person's particular goal. It can involve crops, gardening, raising animals for food, raising unique breeds ideally suited for small acreage, pleasure in raising and harvesting your own fiber, the delight of seeing pastures adorned with a wide variety of beautiful and valued animals, and much more. Take our farm for example. We have, at present, alpacas, miniature donkeys, miniature goats - Nigerian Dwarf = a dairy breed, a Jacob four horned sheep (a primitive breed dating back to Biblical times), a dwarf (not the same as miniature) steer, and two dogs. These pages and the links to the left are intended to benefit all who are searching for information on the farming lifestyle and animals; all who want to responsibly and knowledgeably care for the creatures who share this good earth with us. Thanks for visiting! Please spend some time checking our other pages (to the left).
